Our Principles

✅We Do:

  • Make our foods from scratch with whole ingredients, including our dressings, condiments, and paneer

  • Grind fresh herbs and whole spices to flavor our food

  • Limit the use of refined sugar and instead use natural sweeteners such as maple syrup, molasses, agave nectar, brown rice syrup, fruit purees, and juices

  • Cook in 18/10 stainless steel cookware and use filtered, softened, and purified water

  • Make our chai from scratch using whole spices and black tea, and serve our loose-leaf teas in unbleached, chlorine-free tea bags

  • Utilize fresh ginger throughout the menu

  • Limit gluten across the menu, and minimize soy and tofu products

  • Make our bread, pizza dough, and chapati daily

  • Use rice bran oil which is free from cholesterol, trans fats, hydrogenates, and GMOs

  • Use dried fruit and vegetables that are unsulphured and unsweetened

  • Use paper takeout containers

We believe in Ayurvedic tradition, that food is the very essence of our bodies, and that the conditions of the body correlate with the condition of the mind. This means that ultimately, food affects our state of consciousness. Annapurna’s is the place for healing cuisine, in that we aim to align the mind and body by maintaining principles and philosophies that are unique in the food industry.

As the Hindu spiritual scripts point out, vegetarian food ensures good health and longevity. In line with this:
